Delete your TipNest account

This page explains how to delete your account in TipNest — the tip-tracking app published by DJUMP, MB — and exactly which data is removed and which is kept.
Delete it yourself, in the app
This takes about ten seconds and needs no email to us:
- Open TipNest and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog. You are signed out immediately.
If you no longer have the app
Email start@djump.io from the address you signed up with, with the subject "Delete my TipNest account". We verify the request comes from that address and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes, immediately and without a recovery window:
- Every shift you logged — dates, hours, cash tips, card tips, tip-outs, sections and notes.
- Every workplace you created, including its name, colour and default tip-out percentage.
- Your login and profile — email address, display name, language, theme and notification token — provided you have no data left in another DJUMP app (see below).
- Your entitlement record, which is what tells the app whether you have TipNest Pro.
None of this is archived or held in a backup copy that we can restore for you.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your login, if another DJUMP app still holds your data. TipNest shares one sign-in across the DJUMP apps. Deleting your TipNest account always erases all your TipNest data; the shared login and profile are erased with it only when TipNest is the last DJUMP app you had data in. Otherwise they remain so the other app keeps working, and are erased when you delete your data there too.
- Pseudonymous usage and crash records. We use PostHog (EU) for product analytics and Sentry for crash reports. These record which screens were opened and what crashed — never your tips, hours, notes or workplace names. They expire automatically on those providers' retention schedules; if you want them removed sooner, say so in your email and we will delete them within 30 days.
- Subscription and payment records. If you bought TipNest Pro, the purchase itself is held by Google Play or Apple, not by us — you manage or cancel it in your store account. Records we must keep for accounting and tax law are retained for the statutory period and are not deleted on request.
Cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, and cancelling a subscription does not delete your data. Cancel a subscription in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions or App Store → Subscriptions.
